Making technology accessible to all children is a great goal, and it is one of mine as well. I believe it is important that all learners, regardless of socio-economic status and ability, have access to the resources that are necessary to function in today's society. I too want to offer students with disabilities programs and technologies that will allow them to get the adaptations they may need.I also like that you mentioned internet safety. I was never taught that, but had to learn it as I became more immersed in technology. If we teach kids early on, it will reduce the chances of them making dangerous decisions online.
Hi Manmeet, First off, I love the page! I agree with you that we need to be more connected to learners and since they are immersed in technology, then we should attempt to join their world to become more relevant to them. Furthermore, internet safety is something a lot of people forget. I was watching a video on Facebook where a man posed as a 14 year old boy and baited 14 year old girls to meet him and then abduct them (with parents nearby) to illustrate that the upcoming generations are not practicing safe controls when using the internet.
